Lynne
Heraud & Pat Turner always give us a hugely entertaining
evening with their combination of humour and song -- "everything from
high tragedy to ingenious smut in glorious vocal harmony!" They also,
between them, play guitar, recorder, English concertina and a variety
of whistles (including Swanee, policeman's and referee's) and are
not in the least averse to dressing up or dancing when a song requires
it. |

Peter
& Barbara Snape Welcome back to a Lancashire duo
who delighted us when they visited The George & Dragon. Barbara
has a terrific voice and a way of getting to the heart of a song and
involving the audience. Peter on the melodeon provides sensitive accompaniment.
Together they celebrate North West culture from the cotton mills to
Gracie Fields and the songs collected by Anne Gilchrist. |

Paul
Walker & Karen Pfeiffer - First visit from an Anglo-German
duo based in Staffordshire. They combine great voices, separately
and in harmony, with guitar and woodwind and a remarkable ability
to engage with their audience. A mix of contemporary, self-penned
and trad songs presented with style and humour. |

Alistair
Russell began singing at Stockton Folk Club as a teenager,
both solo and as one of The Distillers. From a Scottish family, his
big break came when he joined the legendary Battlefield Band with
whom he toured for 13 years! Back as a soloist, his gigs
have produced excellent reviews: ‘Alistair has one of the
most distinctive and finest voices in Folk Music..…and the repertoire
is top notch…’ Buzz UK |
