16th Jan LocTup Together / Four 'n' Aft - Chris Lock, who frequently enlivened our club Zoom meetings, combines with Ian Tupling in a much admired harmony duo. Together with Helen Pitt & Steve Dawes they form Four 'n' Aft which sadly became our first Covid postponement in 2020. Helen and Steve will contribute to what is sure to be a great evening of maritime-flavoured songs.

13th Feb Steve Turner - A tradition bearer and surely one of the best singers on the folk circuit, Steve has a great selection of songs to which he adds outstanding accompaniment on concertina and cittern. These days he plays the clubs and venues he enjoys so we're delighted he chooses us! (Rescheduled from Sept. '22)

3rd Apr Janice Burns & Jon Doran - This Anglo-Scottish duo, who came together after discovering a shared love of traditional songs, was one of the highlights of the 2022 Saltburn folk festival. They produce tight vocal harmonies and sensitive interplay between mandolin, bouzouki and guitar.

15th May Nick Dow - One of our favourites, Nick is a wonderful singer with a mellow, lived-in voice and impeccable guitar. He is also a song-collector of some renown, with a rich haul of songs from Dorset and from among the travelling community. His stories about the background to the songs are fascinating and he's always good company.
22nd May Singaround
29th May Bank Holiday - Club closed
5th June Singaround
12th June Feature spot: John Burge started coming to the Club after we moved to the Cricket Club and he has delighted us with his songs, guitar (and bouzouki). He's retired as a professional performer but his history includes collaborations with Mick Ryan, Pete Wray and in groups like Crows and Kitsyke Will. The quality is still there.
19th June Singaround
26th June Anne Lamb - Anne's lovely voice is a superb vehicle for a traditional ballad but she's equally at home with a humorous song whether it's from Victoria Wood or the old music hall. No frills, unaccompanied - this is quality folk-singing from a good friend of the Club.
